As valued customers, you should know that Basic Fun complies with all ASTM standards set down by the ANSI (American National Standards Institute) and as required by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), including, but not limited to, testing for flammability, heavy metals (including lead paint), sharp point testing, drop testing (for shatter resistance), biological microbial testing, and more. Our dedication to producing quality products has been paramount since our inception in 1991, and you can trust that now, more than ever, we are committed to raising our standards even higher.

In addition to the required product testing, Basic Fun is instituting a secondary inspection
operation, where our products will be randomly selected from the production lines and tested independently for verification of compliance to the required safety tests. This secondary testing will be outside the review or influence of the manufacturers, and is being done to assure that test results are unbiased and reliable. This will serve to create a fail-safe in the already stringent testing process. All testing is done by certified, well recognized laboratories. Testing certificates for individual products are available upon request.

Additionally, Basic Fun is a subscribed participant in the ICTI CARE Process, a set of internationally developed regulations designed to assure factories adhere to compliance of stringent standards covering fair accounting practices, workplace safety standards, environmental standards, and human rights obligations. All of our makers must have passed strict inspections in order to be certified as ICTI compliant.
